As a first-generation Greek American, Sophia knows firsthand the importance of hard work, commitment, and integrity in pursuit of one’s dreams. It is with these ideals and unparalleled service, Sophia established STS Human Resource Consulting Inc. in 2003.
As an Industrial and Organizational Psychologist, Sophia brings her practical, collaborative approach to elevate the value and impact of people as a critical lever to organizational success. She is a trusted partner to leaders from Fortune 500 to nonprofit organizations in the resolution of diverse business and human capital challenges and execution of strategic priorities. In her work across markets and industries, Sophia brings her passion to make a positive impact on the long-term success of her clients and their people.
Sophia has over 25 years’ leading and partnering on business priorities across the Human Resources, Leadership, Organizational Development, and Learning arenas. Her career journey consists of years as a business leader and consultant at STS Human Resource Consulting Inc. and within Arthur Andersen’s global organizational development and learning function. In these roles, Sophia led global, cross-functional teams to define people strategy and execute initiatives that facilitate change, engagement, and excel performance and targeted growth of leaders, teams, and organizations. Sophia also consulted at a boutique firm focused on talent management and succession planning in the safety forces sector of large metropolitan areas across the nation, and served as an adjunct faculty member at North Central College.
Education & Credentials
Sophia earned a M.A. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from The University of Akron and a B.A. in Personnel Psychology from Miami University (OH). She holds various facilitation and assessment instrument credentials and certifications, serves on the Miami University Alumni Association Board of Directors, and is an advocate for the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA).
